The Final Exam for GS1101 English Composition 1 will be available in the VLE for a 96-hour period from Thursday, June 9 at 00:05 UoPeople time until Sunday, June 12 at 23:55.
The Final Exam will consist of 30 multiple choice and true or false questions on a single page and will be fully machine-graded. The questions you receive will be randomly selected from a question bank. It is suggested that you read and answer all questions, ensuring that you select “save without submitting”. This means that you will be able to change your response until you submit. You will have exactly one hour to take the Final Exam from the time you access it. After this period, the exam will automatically lock out and you will not be able to continue to answer questions. Therefore, it is important that you manage your time well to ensure that you complete the exam in the designated time.
When you are satisfied that you have answered all questions correctly, select “submit and finish”. Once you have submitted your Final Exam, you will not be able to change your answers
In order to prepare for the Final Exam, revisit your Learning Journal and familiarize yourself with vocabulary you have noted from each unit. It is also suggested that you revise the content of the self-quiz for each unit and time yourself with a stop watch. You should aim to answer one question every two minutes, which is the pace expected to answer all exam questions.
In the Final Exam, there will be questions on American Psychological Association (APA) referencing which all students will receive. Therefore, it is advised that you pay careful attention to the Unit 5 Learning Guide, as it contains notes on APA referencing for a variety of sources.
If you experience a technical problem during the exam, please inform support@uopeople.org and email your instructor immediately.
Your grade for the Final Exam is determined by the questions you answer correctly and marks will not be deducted for any incorrect responses. The results will be processed and statistically evaluated and Final Exam grades will appear in the Grade Book as soon as they have been checked and finalized.
Please note that if you are unable to take the Final Exam during the designated period you must contact me immediately. Failure to notify the university in advance may result in your ineligibility to take the Final Exam on an alternate date.
